Warriors Center Zaza Pachulia Joined Learning Without Limits Event, Presented by ABD

SAN MATEO, CA – ABD Insurance and Financial Services (ABD), an insurance, risk management and consulting firm, announces its fourth year of the Learning Without Limits program in partnership with the Golden State Warriors.

Mentoring hundreds of Bay Area youth in STEM education, Learning Without Limits tipped off this season’s program with students from KIPP Bayview Academy visiting the California Academy of Sciences on November 8th, 2016.  KIPP 6th graders had the opportunity to experience hands-on learning exhibits in the fields of science and technology. They also took part in the African Ecosystems education lab and a live interactive science show with Warriors center Zaza Pachulia.

“ABD and the Golden State Warriors are excited to continue the Learning Without Limits program where we provide very special educational experiences unavailable in the classroom,” said Stephen Leveroni, EVP and Founding Principal, ABD Insurance and Financial Services. “Our visit to the California Academy and visit with Zaza Pachulia offered the children a memorable experience where they met a star player and learned first-hand the value of teamwork.”

“I’m excited to join ABD and Learning Without Limits to help these students get excited for science and the world around them,” said Pachulia. “I’ve learned from my three children that it is easiest to learn when they are interested in the lesson, and the California Academy of Science is a wonderful place for these students to explore the world of science.”

"Our students had a blast exploring the California Academy of Sciences. Getting hands-on STEM experience is crucial for our KIPP students. We're grateful to ABD and the Warriors for making this day possible,” said Hillary Barber, Assistant Principal at KIPP Bayview Academy.

ABD and the Warriors are passionate about the Learning Without Limits program’s mission of providing Bay Area youth with engaging educational experiences not found in the typical classroom. Over its three year history, this program has engaged over 350 Bay Area students in unique opportunities to experience and learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as understand the value of giving back.
